babies screaming...so i i ply them with chocolate truffles made by a friend
who lost her baby
after carrying him to full term
he was stillborn


my baby now sits on my lap
asking about the truffle she just ate


i guess here i would talk about all the different complexities of life and birth and motherhood
but i can't seem to shake the fact that 
occasionally this idea
this ideal
of motherhood/womanhood is so completely overrated and imposed on us 
the women who can carry the weight 
all of the weight 
of the many different faces of motherhood/womanhood in relation to humanity and community
deserve more than their weight in gold for all of the crap they have to sift thru
on a daily basis
